20 years ago, I went up to Como with my teenage son and $1000 in my pocket. Why? I was looking for someone to produce silk scarves for me. You see, everybody has passions. I have three passions: Italy, my home. Silk. And design. So in 2004, I decided to put the three of these things together. Back then there was very limited Internet in Italy. So we literally drove around Como, an area in the north of Italy that's been famous for its silk production for centuries, knocking on doors of places that we thought might be able to help us produce the silk scarves and ties that we make today.
